Wide and elegant, the hotel reflects the history and fascination of the "City of Iris". The antique furniture, the rich paintings from the Florence school on the walls, the spacious and to the last detail furnished rooms, offers guests a refined and intimate atmosphere. The hotel has played host to a number of important historical figures including Tolstoy, after whom the hotel's most prestigious suite is named, the famous ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev, Maria Callas, Carla Fracci and Eduardo De Filippo.

There are 29 suites, the most prestigious of which is the Tolstoy Suite with its original 19th century Tuscan oil paintings. There is also a dedicated non-smoking floor. All of the rooms offer air conditioning, mini-bar, satellite TV, 24-hour room service, safety deposit box, and a courtesy bathroom kit. Some communicating rooms are available. Guests choosing to stay in one of our Junior Suites will also receive a basket of fresh fruit in their room on arrival.
